Cost Analyst - New Hamburg, Ontario Canada (Relocating Waterloo, ON Fall 2022)

SPECIFIC REPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Maintain and monitor the standard cost system in Microsoft Dynamics AX.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Post secondary accounting diploma/degree or enrolment in an accredited accounting designation program.
  • Experience in cost accounting or with related accounting knowledge.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX experience an asset.

Assistant Controller - New Hamburg, Ontario Canada (Relocating Waterloo, ON Fall 2022)
As a key member of the finance team, you will support the Controller and team by maintaining the integrity of the standard costing system and assisting in the preparation of financial statements and financial analysis to aid management in decision making while safekeeping company assets through appropriate internal control procedures.

  • Responsible for product costing with analysis of all variances from standard, producing adjusting month end entries as required.
  • Maintain and monitor the standard cost system.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the Excel pricing models and the AX part pricing database.
  • Prepare quotes for all products on a timely basis & advise management of potential GP deficiencies.
  • Review, allocate and approve custom duty and brokerage invoices.
  • Various month end accounting entries and account analysis.
  • Month end review and accounting entries of Inland Freight.
  • Monitor and reconcile various balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare quotes for all products on a timely basis & advise management of potential GP deficiencies.
  • Assist with budget analysis and preparation.
  • Assist with year-end working paper files and financial statements.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Post-Secondary diploma or degree in business.
  • Enrolled in CPA program.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with background in product costing.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics) would be an asset.

Collections Specialist - New Hamburg, Ontario Canada (Relocating Waterloo, ON Fall 2022)
We currently have an opportunity for a collections specialist as part of our credit team, supporting sales to the retail industry including furniture stores, department stores and internet retailers. This position requires an organized, assertive and responsible individual, possessing good analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate is committed to a positive, friendly environment and strives to exceed expectations.

SPECIFIC REPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Manage an assigned portfolio of accounts, and execute appropriate collection strategies to improve DSO, Collection Targets, and other Key Performance Indicators.
  • Initiate outbound collection calls and e-mails to past due customers, to negotiate and coordinate the timely payment of outstanding invoices.
  • Identify collection concerns, issues impeding payment, and reconciliation issues.
  • Identify and escalate customer deductions or disputes and monitor resolution. Work with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Advise Sales Personnel of problem accounts & request assistance where needed.
  • Escalation of problem accounts to Credit Manager when necessary.
  • Setup of new dealer accounts, initiate trade reference requests and order credit bureau reports.
  • Release/hold orders daily based on departmental guidelines.
  • Provide General Support and other duties as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • 3+ years commercial collections experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal & analytical skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to be tactful yet assertive with good negotiation skills.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of credit and accounting is an asset.
  • CCP designation, or courses in credit & collections considered an asset but not mandatory.
  • Bilingualism considered an asset, but is not required.

Demand Analyst - New Hamburg, Ontario Canada (Relocating Waterloo, ON Fall 2022) and North Carolina, US
As a key member of the Supply Chain team, your main goal is to ensure the products are available at the right place at the right time enabling product sales across the globe. Must be comfortable communicating directly with customers and internal teams to create innovative win-win solutions. The emphasis in this role will be on the demand side through account and category level forecast via collaboration with sales, customers and supply teams. The objective is to assure an appropriate forecast and optimize levels of inventory to support demand while minimizing risk for all affected parties

  • Develop optimized forecast plans for assigned customers and categories, using inputs from customers, sales, historical information and other inputs.
  • Develop forecast for new products and plan implementation in collaboration with Product Management, Supply and Sales.
  • Identify slow moving product/inventory and develop plans with sales and product management to mitigate product obsolescence.
  • Analyze product performance and driving product life management to provide insights on all assigned categories, providing insights on growth, trends, patterns and opportunities.
  • Member of S&OP process. Key member in Demand Review and Supply Review, identifying opportunities and risk and providing solutions to issues.
  • 3-5 years experience in similar role.
  • Ability to manage multiple expectations while collaborating with cross functional teams.
  • Proven experience in MRP functionality including forecasting, planning, purchasing.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication, exceptional service attitude.
  • Strong computer skills especially in Excel
  • Knowledge of Dynamics AX an asset
  • CPIM or CSCP designation an asset
